| MEDIKE
is situated in the Limpopo (Northern) Province about 36km west
of Louis Trichardt (Makhado). This Natural Heritage Site is in
the picturesque western Soutpansberg where the Sand River
(Mongezi) has cut an impressive gorge through the mountain. |

| The
best way to savour Medike's rich ecological diversity is on
foot. More than 30km of marked hiking trails meander through
forested kloofs, rugged gorges, archaeological sites and
mountain streams to waterfalls, spectacular rock formations
and a mysterious Bushman shelter with ancient rock art.

| Campfires,
a leopard rasping in the distance, star filled nights, eagles
